A Place at the Table with Ali Forney Center

Early last month, Ali Forney Center hosted nearly 1,000 people at Cipriani Wall Street to celebrate its annual A Place At The Table Gala to support its ongoing mission to protect LGBTQIA+ youths from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently. The evening was the Center’s most successful event to date, with a fundraising total of $1.8 million. KULE is proud to have sponsored the event and, for the third year in a row, donate a portion of the sales from our Pride Collection to Ali Forney Center. See more from the Gala and our newly launched Pride Collection for 2023 below.

Ali Forney Center’s A Place At The Table Gala was hosted by Indya Moore, a model, actress, one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2019, and an icon within the community. Anna Wintour presented Architectural Digest, accepted by its Editor-in-Chief Amy Astley, with the Community Partner Award for the magazine’s nearly $1 million raised to build a Harlem townhouse into a new home for Ali Forney Center to shelter their community.

The KULE table showed up to support and certainly came dressed for the evening. Nikki Kule, Jim Kuerschner, and Elizabeth Tamkin from the KULE team were joined by KULE family members Jonathan Kratz, Chloe King, Sam Todd, Brian Solis, Lauren Wilson, Stefan Beckman, and Kris Togias. We thank each and every one of them for coming to support.

There was no shortage of smiles or sparkles at the event. Attendees wore bold fashion to the gala, with array of sequins and crystals. We like to think the KULE table showed up, too πŸ™‚.

In continued support, KULE is also hosting our Pride Event with the illustrator of the collection, Grace Miceli, at KULE Brooklyn on June 8th, with 20% of all sales that evening donated to Ali Forney Center. We hope that our event will continue the conversation and awareness for what Ali Forney Center does and continues to work hard to accomplish. There is so much more room for sparkles and smiles at the table.
